Furry Ears Rescue

About us

Rescuing cats worldwide. Helping to create purr-fect happy families across the UK. Adopting is one of the best things you can do. We are a small animal rescue organisation based in Westminster, originally set up in 2021 and based out of La Maison du Chat in Pimlico, we operate as a foster-based rescue only. This means we do not have kennels for the animals we save; to avoid the stress of such a lonely and unnatural environment we prefer to place them in foster to allow them to show their personality in comfortable surroundings. We rely on our amazing vetted volunteer fosters for kittens and adult cats that aren't happy around other cats, or are too shy for busy spaces; and also place a number of cats in foster at Java Whiskers Cat Cafe White City, where they can have a chance to be seen and for people to fall in love with them based on their personality and not just their looks! We aim to provide care and medical assistance to cats and other small animals across several Mediterranean countries (Cyprus, Tunisia, France, Portugal) and have grown to include new urban stray hotspots in the UK (London, Manchester) to try and help mitigate the impact of missed sterilisations during Covid, and missing Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) programmes in specific areas.

Our adoption policy

We work on a case-by-case basis. We rehome indoor and outdoor cats, and to elderly adopters as we believe the companionship of a pet is *everything* We are a small rescue team who rely completely on private donations. We incur large costs (about £750 on average) in getting animals to safety and given the vet treatment. We ask for a donation fee of £260 per cat or £360 per kitten (including neuter/spay). The adoption fee includes the vaccines, spay/neuter and microchip. If you feel this wouldn't be affordable, we also offer payment in installments.
