Pet Story

*Please Note - All Whispaws dogs listed on Pet Database are in Serbia and are transported to the UK after adoption is agreed - further information below* 👉🏻 Meet Nera, a lovely senior girl with a gentle nature and so much love to give! ⚧️ Sex: Female 🎂 Age: Approx. 10 years old 🦴 Breed: Labrador Mix 📏 Size: Medium - Large 🐱 Cat friendly: Tolerates cats 🐕 Dog friendly: Yes 👶 Child friendly: Yes ⚡ Energy level: Low - Moderate 🏡 Ideal home: A loving family home where Nera can enjoy plenty of affection, walks, playtime and companionship. 🐾 Personality & Temperament 🐾 Nera is a truly lovely girl with a gentle and affectionate nature. She adores people and children, and once she trusts you, loves nothing more than lots of cuddles and spending time with those around her. She may be a little cautious when meeting someone for the first time, but with a little time to settle and get to know you, her sweet demeanor shines through. Nera is friendly with new people and has such a happy, gentle personality. Although Nera is a senior girl, she still loves going for walks, having a little run and joining in with playtime. She really enjoys going for slow, sniffy walks and walks beautifully on a lead. She is highly motivated by treats and responds well to gentle guidance. She's also very good with vets and enjoys being brushed, having belly rubs and getting plenty of attention. Nera has a lovely balance of being calm and gentle, while still being ready for a bit of fun when the opportunity comes along! She gets along well with other dogs and would make a lovely family companion. Nera has spent most of her life in a shelter, so she'll need a little time to adjust to all the new experiences and routines that come with having a home of her own. But she has so much love to give and would make a wonderful companion for a family who can give her the affection and care she deserves. Nera really is such a special girl and we'd love to see her enjoying life with a forever family💜 📖 Nera’s Story 📖 Nera was living on somebody’s land that has since been sold from beneath her – leaving her and multiple other dogs abandoned with nowhere to go. Thankfully, space was secured for the dogs at the pansion and they were moved to safety in May 2026, where Nera is now ready to find her forever home. Nera has spent most of her life in a shelter environment and, despite her difficult start, has remained such a loving and happy girl. Now, at around 10 years old, we would love nothing more than for her to finally experience life as part of a family. Could that be with you? 💜 From the streets of Serbia to loving homes in the UK 🇬🇧🐾 Each of our dogs was once abandoned or at risk on the streets of Serbia.
