Non-profit Shelter for rescuing and rehoming Turkish and Italian Street Dogs, located in Italy 🇮🇹 Helping dogs find homes all over the UK and EU since 2018 It all started back in 2018, when Sara and Mike came across four street dogs in Turkey and fell in love with them. Soon they took the first big step and bought a cottage in a small village in the Mediterranean region and started fostering dogs, who would be travelling to their forever homes in Europe. Not long after, they set up a bigger place and moved to Turkey to rescue full time. After the situation in Turkey became increasingly difficult, Sara made the decision to – together with all 80 dogs in her care – relocate to Italy where she has been since the end of 2023. We've spent over 5 years rescuing dogs from the streets or the overcrowded municipal shelter in Turkey, getting them back on their feet, safe, healthy and socialized. That work now continues in Italy where we regularly partner with local rescues. But our end goal is always finding them a loving home, we're just a stepping stone until they find their own family and get the life they really deserve - meanwhile, we give our all to meet all their needs and keep them happy!
