Pet Story

Zeus is our most majestic, regal dog due to his mainly white coat and incredibly muscular build. Once Zeus gets to know you he becomes truly loyal and likes to walk next to you wherever you go. He also knows how to request his cuddles and headscratches simply by standing right in front of you. Zeus gets along well with other dogs and loves running around chasing his friends. It used to take Zeus a while to warm up to new people (especially men) but he has mostly overcome that fear, now regularly interacting with new volunteers from the get-go to make sure he gets his well-deserved cuddles. Zeus can be a bit nervous at times (for example when there are unexpected noises or sudden movements). That's why Zeus is looking for a rather quiet home where he can truly show his loyalty and love – and he's got a lot of both. With some patience and reassurance we are sure he will steadily grow in his confidence! What makes Zeus even more special than he already is is his barely-there tail (he and one of his siblings were born like that! ) and the fact that he has two dewclaws per foot. When he was little his fur was quite dark as you can see in some of the pictures, but by now he is mainly white with a few darker strands in between. Zeus was tested positive for Leishmaniasis and just finished his course of treatment without issues. For the moment his health has been cleared but of course regular vet checks should be arranged to stay on top of this in the future (as with any dog, really). We are happy to chat about this with you in more detail.
